Homeless Not Toothless in Los Angeles CA
Founded in 1992 by Dr. Jay S. Grossman, Homeless Not Toothless is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, high-quality dental care to unhoused and underserved individuals. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a large network of volunteer dentists serving communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Patients are referred through trusted partners such as Venice Family Clinic and local shelters, where dental needs and the necessity for treatment are carefully assessed. Through this program, individuals receive comprehensive dental care that helps restore oral health, confidence, and dignity—often changing lives far beyond the dental chair.
UCLA School of Dentistry Partnership
Concierge Dentistry is proud to be connected to the UCLA School of Dentistry through a longstanding commitment to community-based clinical education. Since the early 1990s, UCLA has supported Homeless Not Toothless by sending fourth-year dental students to participate in externships that provide free dental care to underserved populations.
This partnership allows future dentists to gain hands-on experience while serving those in need, reinforcing a culture of compassion, advocacy, and service within the profession and the broader community.
